Just put the hexadecimal code (hex) of your color into the boxes above or and then click anywhere on this page to see the RGB code . The RGB code tells you how much Red, Green, and Blue there is in that color. Or you can type in the RGB code for each of the three primary colors and the hexadecimal converter will convert it into hexadecimal. The background color of this page will change into the color you select with the codes.

          Then go to the color names page to see if the color or name you have chosen  have already been taken. If the color has already been chosen by someone else, and you really like that color, you can change the hex code numbers by adding or subtracting "one" on the RGB code and the color will change very slightly. You probably won't be able to detect the difference in color. Be sure to write down the Hexadecimal code along with the name you have chosen for your color so you can register it!

     If the name you have chosen has already been used by someone else, you'll have to choose a different one. All names must be different  from each other so that each color has it's own unique name. Choose a name wisely. Once you have named a color and registered it you cannot change it. Go to the "name a color" page to read the rules about naming a color.
