WORD COLORS
What would happen if a web designer used a color name which was not one of the current HTML supported color names? To find out, we made up this table. The background color of each of the boxes in this table was made by using the word in the box as a color name. For example instead of using a hexadecimal code such as: bgcolor=#FF33CC, the word in the box is used: bgcolor="computer". The words were chosen at random. Your browser may make a color from the word even though it's not an HTML supported color name. To try this yourself, go to the ten minute web page to learn how. Then just use any word you like instead of a color name to see how your browser interprets it. Why not try it with the name you chose for your color?
Scroll down to see if your browser makes any colors from these words:
